Jai Ambay Packers and Movers is a family-owned relocation company headquartered at Beltola Tiniali, Guwahati, Assam. The company was founded in 2016 by Biswaraj Chanda (former Regional Manager at Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd), continuing a family transport legacy that started in 1980 in Tezpur (Missamari), Assam.
What makes us different: we are founder-accountable (no call-centre transfers), specialise in transfer relocation for Army, Government, Bank, Railway and corporate employees with GST invoices for reimbursement, use closed-body GPS-tracked trucks with goods-in-transit insurance, and hold a 5.0★ Google rating from 590+ genuine, non-incentivised reviews.
A Family Legacy Built on Trust
Every move is personal — a home being packed into boxes, memories being carried across cities. We know, because this is what we've done since 1980, when Biswaraj Chanda's father first began moving families and goods out of Tezpur, Assam.
Biswaraj grew up watching that trust being built, one careful move at a time. In 2016, he brought that same care to Guwahati, founding Jai Ambay Packers and Movers to serve the Northeast — with the same values his father taught him: honesty, care with every last box, and treating your belongings like our own.

When Sivsagar Was Underwater,
Guwahati’s Movers Rose Together.
In 2025, when Assam’s Sivsagar district was devastated by severe floods, Guwahati’s packers-and-movers community pooled together to organise a relief camp collecting approximately ₹5 lakhs in essential supplies for affected families.
Biswaraj Chanda led the effort as the main organiser. When you spend your working life helping people move, sometimes it’s not just a house you help move — it’s a life.
